It contains a wide variety of information both specific to this Province and to Freemasonry in general.  The launch of this site signifies the start of our New Masonic Year, one that I hope you all enjoy.

Surrey hospices boosted with £ 21,765.00 donation from Freemasons

Hospice services in Surrey received an early Christmas present with the award of £ 21,765.00 to seven local services by The Freemasons’ Grand Charity, an organisation that distributes money raised by Freemasons and their families to support people in need.

The grants will help Chase Hospice Care for Children, Harestone Marie Curie Centre, Phyllis Tuckwell Memorial Hospice, Princess Alice Hospice, Sam Beare Hospice, St.Raphael’s Hospice, and Woking Hospice (links open in new window) to continue providing free physical, emotional, social and spiritual care to patients and their families.

Complementing funds raised by Masons for services in their local areas, The Freemasons’ Grand Charity has been making regular donations to Hospices since 1984. During this time over £7.5 million has been donated to services in Surrey, helping to provide care to people of all ages.

The Provincial Grand Secretary of Surrey, said:
“Hospices play a vital role in helping the individuals and families affected by terminal and life limiting illnesses. I am delighted that the grants from The Freemasons’ Grand Charity will, in addition to funds raised by local Masons, help to run these excellent local services that rely on voluntary and charitable support to fund their work.”
