My name is Jim Cook.

I was born in Croydon and still live in Surrey with my wife. We have two wonderful daughters.

I enjoy motor sports, motorcycling and achieved my lifelong ambition by spending some years flying vintage aircraft.

As well as Freemasonry other hobbies include cycling, travel and cookery and in particular spending as much time as I can sailing the Solent and Chichester Harbour on my small boat.

Freemasonry has always been in the background of my life as my Father and Grandfather were both active Masons in Carlshalton Lodge.

My interest grew and at the age of 27 I joined the Carlshalton Lodge maintaining the family link.

I was Master of the lodge in 1994 and again in 2002.

I was an Assistant Provincial Grand Master for 5 years which kept me very busy and gave a lot of enjoyment.

My membership in Freemasonry has brought me lasting friendships with really nice people, a great family social life and was simply one of the very best choices I have ever made.
