2019 Surrey Freemason RMBI FestivalThe Craft Annual meeting has been and gone and for me it really was a highlight in the Provincial calendar.

Not only has the Province got a new AProvGM heading up the Charity Portfolio in the shape of W.Bro. Paul Crockett, a Freemason very well-known and respected across the Province and especially in Charity circles, but we heard from both W.Bro. Crockett and the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master about the momentum of the 2019 Festival and watched several Lodges receiving their Gold Festival Awards.

These Gold Awards are hard to achieve and a clear demonstration of the commitment being made by Surrey Masons in supporting our Festival, so I would like to add my congratulations to those of the Provincial Grand Master to Cyclist Lodge No 2246, Agincourt Lodge No 7172, Look Forward Lodge No 9305 and also Michelham Lodge No 8502 who will receive their Award at next years Craft Annual Meeting.

W Bro David Olliver and W Bro Paul CrockettThese Lodges join a growing number who have achieved Festival Awards and I would like to thank you all for your support, enthusiasm and commitment to making the Festival a success and ensuring that we reach the Provincial Grand Masters target of £3.25M.

Walking, Cycling, Skydiving, Cycling underwater, shooting, swimming, Real Ale Train, climbing Snowdon, Abseiling down Guildford Cathedral, Beer Mat challenge, Widows Tea Party, Provincial Grand Master Chef the list goes on.

There have been many wonderful, creative, daring and foolhardy fundraising endeavours during the Festival so far, undertaken by a cast of thousands, but I would like to concentrate on the most important part of the Festival and that is the next and last 10 months during which time we will need to raise a further £650,000 to achieve the success everybody so deserves.

So starting with the simplest method of support let’s look to the future and how we can all continue to engage in and promote the Festival.
