£63,000 in support of Age UK Surrey

How wonderful to be able to assist Steve Norris and Steve Butwell with a few pictures on Thursday, when they presented a Masonic Charitable Foundation Certificate to Age UK Surrey.

This was for £63,000, in support of Age UK Surrey’s “Later Life Goals” initiative (i.e. guiding and supporting elderly folks, who might otherwise be isolated, to achieve goals in later life).

This was the Surrey proportion of a much larger £1.2M Age UK grant, and will provide funding over a 3 year period.

The fun little woollen hats seen in some pic’s are part of another (separate) Age UK initiative.

They are knitted by the elderly for Innocent drinks bottles, as a project which brings people together, and provides Age UK with a 25p donation for every hat made (..and they have knitted around 9000 hats this past year).

This was a lovely visit, well organised by Andrew Lynch.
