Freemasons donate over £170,000 to various charities at Surbiton Presentation.

Freemasons of Surrey and their partners gathered at the Surbiton Masonic Centre on Thursday, 10th December, to make major donations to seventeen Charities.

The Provincial Grand Master – Eric Stuart-Bamford – handed over just short of £180,000, which was donated by Freemasons across the whole of the UK.

Freemasons of Surrey charity donationIn addition to money that had been donated by Freemasons in Surrey, we were also privileged to have distributed substantial amounts sent from The Grand Charity of the United Grand Lodge of England, especially for the benefit of various Surrey Charities.

Spokesman for the Surrey Provincial Charity Committee, Nick Parsons, said: “This is the eleventh such cheque presentation event organised by the Surrey for Surrey Scheme, which pools together donations from members of different Freemasons Lodges and Chapters across Surrey, in an effort to make a significant impact for each charity.

All this money has been raised by Freemasons and their families.”

  • The Institute of Cancer Research

  • The Phyllis Tuckwell Memorial Hospice
  • The British Liver Trust
  • Community Action Nepal
  • The Diamond Riding Centre
  • 21&Co
  • The Anthony Nolan Trust
  • Missing People
  • The Poppy Factory

The presentation was attended by Freemasons, their wives and partners, as well as representatives from each of the charities.
