South Surrey First Principals Chapter

The June Convocation of the South Surrey First Principals Chapter No. 8321 was held at the Reigate and Redhill Masonic Halls, Nutfield. Present at the Convocation was the Second Provincial Grand Principal, E.Comp.

Stephen Dingvean and the Provincial Grand Scribe E, E.Comp. Dr Mike Robinson, a member of the Chapter, along with many honoured guests from Chapters in amity.

The Second Provincial Grand Principal had much pleasure in presenting E.Comp. Eric Head, PAGSoj, PPGSN, SLGCR, with a special tie following the presentation of a Certificate for Distinguished Service by the ME Grand Superintendent at the Annual Convocation in May.

Also present wearing his special tie was E.Comp. Pat Little, PPGSN, the Second Principal of the Chapter.

After the Chapter was closed the Companions received a presentation from Karen Phillips of the Children’s Trust, Tadworth, of the importance of the Pegasus Bed.

Karen talked about the Children’s Trust and the work they do to offer both residential and community-based rehabilitation services for children and young people with a brain injury. (Click here for more details of the Children’s Trust https://www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk)

After the presentation, the MEZ, E.Comp. Chris Goring, PAGDC, PPGReg, had pleasure in presenting Karen with a cheque for £2,500 for the Children’s Trust. This was gratefully received by Karen who invited everyone to come along to Tadworth to see the work that they do.

After the presentation the Companions of the South Surrey First Principals Chapter and their guests sat down to a splendid meal in the dining room of the Nutfield Masonic Centre.

All First Principals are encouraged to join one of the First Principals Chapters in Surrey.
Joining these Chapters will not only afford you an enjoyable means of increasing your Masonic knowledge but also give you the opportunity of meeting other First Principals from all parts of the Province.
You will hear many eminent speakers giving addresses and answering questions on matters of Royal Arch interest and, from time to time, you will witness demonstrations and presentations of particular workings of these and related ceremonies.
The South Surrey First Principals Chapter meets at Nutfield on the 3rd Friday in January and the 1st Wednesday in June.
