DO YOU WANT TO BE PART OF SOMETHING AMAZING?

Well now is your chance!

Surrey Freemasons are going to bring together people from across the Province and attempt to break the world record for the longest handshake relay, which currently stands at 1,730 people.

At the same time we are going to raise funds to deliver a brand new ‘High Ropes Adventure trail’ at the Surrey Scouts Camp at Bentley Copse, near Guildford.

This activity centre is used by the entire Surrey Scouting family and their new project will provide an exciting addition to the many activities already available for young people across Surrey.

The BIG Handshake is open to everyone who wants to be a record breaker and wants to be part of something amazing.

Surrey Freemasons are proud to be working with Surrey Scouts and Guildford Rugby Club in our attempt to break a world  record at the same time raising funds to deliver a new high ropes adventure trail, in the trees at the Bentley Copse Activity Centre in Godalming.

A centre that is used by the entire Surrey Scouting family.

However, the BIG Handshake is not just about the world record attempt and delivering a project.  It is about promoting and supporting Surrey Scouts.

Scouting is the UK’s biggest mixed youth organisation.

It  offers 6 to25-year-olds  fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.

However, to deliver these experiences and activities they need volunteers.

People who can work with children and young adults, people who can spare some time to do something amazing.

The Provincial Community Engagement Initiative that we have launched is all about support community groups like Surrey Scouting.

If you can help then please register your interest by emailing the Provincial Fundraising and Engagement

team at; CommunityEngagement@Surreymason.org.uk
